Installation Supervisor / Mechanical Service Technician Rotherham
We are now looking to fill this position for the right candidate to be based in a commutable distance to Rotherham. Reporting to the Regional Field Manager, the right candidate will be part of a small team responsible for delivering service, installation, and troubleshooting of HUBER machinery to a high-quality standard.
This role involves predominantly site work, and a company van will be provided for travel. Travel includes the Northern Regions of the UK; from time to time, you may be required to work in other parts of the UK.
We are looking for a candidate with a general engineering or mechanical installer background with an understanding of a site technician’s role.
Your core responsibilities are as follows:
* Carry out site visits to assess the scope of work.
* Manage relationships with clients on site.
* Organise administrative tasks such as crane plans, site reports, risk assessments, and method statements.
* Manage external services, review, and oversee sub-contractors.
* Coordinate with the Regional Field Manager to assess resource requirements.
* Participate in site and job preparation work and be hands-on when required.
* Work on site as a Mechanical Service Technician during periods without installation work.
Your profile:
* Completed an apprentice scheme or hold a minimum Level 2 NVQ in an Engineering discipline with at least four years of experience.
* Possess a CITB Site Supervisor qualification (training can be provided if needed).
* Enjoy working with diverse groups and building relationships with clients, sub-contractors, and suppliers.
* Have a background in machinery repair and on-site equipment installation.
* Having a CPCS Appointed Person qualification is advantageous but not essential; training can be provided.
* Proficient with Microsoft Office.
* Eligible to work in the UK.
