At Amazon, our centralized HR Partners are known for their knowledge of HR programs, processes and tools. They act as the frontline consultant to mainly people managers to create a positive employee experience, offering consistent HR advice on people matters. They operate and are seen as subject matter experts, having sound knowledge in company and local programs, processes and policies, offering a strong and compelling point of view around HR related matters, thus building credibility. They are committed to collaboration with multiple HR Business Partners, HR specialists and people managers across the various businesses. A key area of focus is to increase manager capability which should enable them to be more self-sufficient and drive manager education on important people programs, policies, tools and processes.
Responsibilities
* Act as an influential partner in helping managers with talent management processes, people development, performance management and manager coaching.
* Spot trends and identify emerging needs from visibility across businesses and access to data on managers’ and employees’ requests; address them with innovative people programs, tools and processes.
* Employee Relations & Support: provide process ownership for Employee Relations management, consult managers on people matters, conduct investigations and manage ER cases in coordination with Employee Relations and Legal departments.
* Performance management: work end to end with people managers on performance management cases; analyze data and trends to inform business strategy and prevent recurrence of issues.
* Talent Management: coach, train and guide managers during Talent Management and Annual Compensation Planning; consult on compensation matters; develop toolkit and communications for self-sufficiency in Talent Reviews.
* People Development: enable managers by leveraging and improving training contents, collaborate with Devices Talent Development teams, identify training opportunities, support career conversations and development plans.
* Organization and change management: manage employees’ programs and support managers to drive improvements in engagement; provide support on change initiatives.
* HR General: act as stewards of the employee experience and culture, manage people tools/programs/projects, design and deliver Manager Education initiatives, analyze data and highlight trends to drive solutions.
Basic Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree or higher, in Human Resources or related field
* Human Resources experience
* Polish Labour Law knowledge
* Excellent command in both spoken and written Polish and English (CEFR C2)
Preferred Qualifications
* Excellent command in an additional language (CEFR C2)
* Strong business and HR acumen, including problem solving, critical thinking and analysis
* Drives recommendations and prioritization; ability to contextualize decisions within broader business goals
* Experience in a highly matrixed organization
* Project management and execution skills
* Coaching and consulting skills
* Thrives in a high-pressure environment with multiple priorities
* Intellectual curiosity; provides insights to the team & business
* Labour Law knowledge of Romania and Slovakia
* Ability to work in a matrix with business lead HR Partners; proficiency working with remote management
