Community Outreach Worker

LOCATION: Bristol
SALARY: £14.22 + holiday pay
£18.37 Umbrella / £27,711
DURATION: 12 months FTC
Hours: 30 –between 8.30am - 4.30pm / 9am – 5pm (flexible)
Additional information:
In this part-time, 12-month Fixed Term Contract role, you'll work 30 hours per week and be the empowering voice for women and children affected by domestic abuse, providing a victim-centred approach focused on safety, recovery, and empowerment.
Collaborate with a diverse network of agencies to ensure seamless access to vital services and resources. Embrace a "Think Family" approach, addressing the unique needs of children and young people.
Preferred Requirements:

Carry out comprehensive needs and risk assessments, co-producing safety plans with clients to manage and mitigate risks.
Provide outreach, resettlement, and tenancy sustainment support, enabling women to maintain their current accommodation or access alternative housing.
Maintain an effective support service, empowering survivors to develop the skills and resources necessary for independent living.
Leverage your understanding of cultural diversity and domestic abuse to provide tailored support.
Collaborate with a wide range of agencies, including the police, local authorities, and the voluntary sector, to ensure the best possible outcomes for clients. Preferred Qualifications

Demonstrable experience as a support worker, with a deep understanding of the impact of domestic abuse on women and children.
Proven track record of providing support to individuals to sustain or manage their tenancies and avoid tenancy breakdown.
Commitment to a victim-centred, strengths-based approach that empowers survivors to achieve positive outcomes.
Ability to assess risks, co-create safety plans, and advocate for survivors to access the resources they need.
Commitment to a person-centered approach
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Passion for making a tangible difference in the lives of vulnerable individuals and families
