Could you be part of a dedicated and committed Paediatric Occupational Therapy team providing support to disabled children, young people and their families across Nottinghamshire?
Our Occupational Therapy service is part of the Integrated Children’s Disability Service(ICDS) and is looking for motivated, enthusiastic Occupational Therapists who can work collaboratively with colleagues and key workers to help children and young people remain safe and realise their potential to develop skills and independence.
The team specifically works to support disabled children, young people, and their families by completing assessments of need and recommending equipment and adaptations to support them in the home. Interventions include specialist seating, moving and handling, specialist equipment and major adaptations including Disabled Facilities Grants. The ICDS-Occupational Therapy team covers the whole of Nottinghamshire, and we complete regular after school visits.
If you are a compassionate, resilient individual who likes to think creatively then you could be just the person we’d be proud to welcome to our team here in Nottinghamshire. We would welcome applications from Occupational Therapists at any stage of their career, including newly qualified Occupational Therapists with a passion for paediatric work
You Will Need To
* Be registered with the HCPC or have applied for registration
* Be passionate about working with children and young people, ideally with experience of working with children (in a professional capacity or otherwise)
* Have knowledge and/or experience of children’s equipment and adaptation solutions
* Have the ability to manage and prioritise your case work
* Have great communication skills and have the ability to form positive relationships with a wide range of partner agencies
* Be able to work effectively in a team as well as being self-directed as an individual
* Have an understanding of statutory legislation that underpins Occupational Therapy assessment and intervention in children’s social care
* Be a reflective practitioner with a commitment to supervision and professional development
* Have commitment and personal drive to achieve excellent outcomes for children, young people and their families
What We Offer
* A welcome and supportive team that provides a comprehensive induction, continuous professional development, manageable caseloads and supervision
* Flexible hybrid working with the latest technology enabling you to work flexibly
* Generous annual leave of 27-33 days in addition to 8 days statutory bank holidays and access to an annual leave purchase scheme
* Excellent occupational pension scheme
* Financial assistance for staff including access to an electric vehicle leasing scheme, car loan scheme, cycle purchase scheme, motor insurance no claims bonus protection and employee health plan
