The Role
This position requires understanding of applications support. The role is primarily office-based in Aldermaston, working Monday to Friday during office hours, with potential for some out-of-hours on-call support.
Responsibilities
1. Undertake service management and minor enhancement activities involved in the ongoing delivery of Application Management.
2. Provide technical expertise across the application lifecycle for support, monitoring, troubleshooting, change, and enhancement of packaged or custom applications, in line with contractual and technical standards such as CMMI and ISO.
3. Support transition and transformation efforts.
4. Perform Service Management functions to ensure service delivery meets budget, quality standards, and service levels, following industry standards like ISO and best practices such as ITIL.
5. Manage technical and service relationships between the company, customers, subcontractors/vendors, and internal teams.
6. Collaborate with key customers and internal stakeholders to retain clients and grow the business.
The ideal candidate will have some experience in Applications Management.
Requirements
1. A self-starter with a willingness to learn, develop, and take initiative.
2. A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT Service Management, or Engineering is advantageous but not essential; relevant IT industry experience is beneficial.
3. Understanding of applications support.
