About the Role: You’ll be teaching students aged 11–18 with a range of special educational needs, including: Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) Moderate to Severe Learning Difficulties (MLD/SLD) SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs) Communication and complex needs Your role is to deliver engaging, differentiated lessons that match pupils’ individual learning plans (EHCPs), while fostering emotional well-being, confidence, and life skills. You’ll work in collaboration with a wider support team—including SENCOs, teaching assistants, therapists, and families—to ensure every learner gets the holistic support they need. Key Responsibilities: Deliver creative, targeted lessons aligned to SEN student profiles Adapt teaching to suit a wide range of abilities and needs Foster a calm, inclusive classroom that promotes learning and positive behaviour Support students' academic, social, and emotional progress Contribute to assessment, reviews, and EHCP feedback Liaise closely with pastoral staff and parents/carers Who We’re Looking For: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS or QTLS) – Essential SEN teaching experience OR strong mainstream experience with SEN exposure In-depth knowledge of inclusive strategies and behaviour support Patience, empathy, and the ability to build trust with students Excellent teamwork and communication skills Above all, you should have a genuine passion for transforming lives and creating opportunities for every student to succeed.
