They are looking for a Cloud Engineer to join their IT team to help establish and support their data platform. You will be responsible for ensuring their researchers requirements are met, whilst satisfying governance obligations arising from datasets. You will also be responsible for monitoring and optimising the costs of public cloud hosting to keep up to date with service and pricing changes.Main responsibilitiesLead the design, planning, provisioning, maintenance and development of their data platform Create and update documentation of the Data PlatformSet up cost monitoring to maximise cost-effectiveness of the PlatformCollaborate with Data Managers, Information Compliance and Information Security teamsEnsure the security of the Platform, applying updates and configuration checksRequirements Hold a PHD with a significant computational component or equivalent experienceAzure Cloud platform engineering experience for production servicesUnderstanding of the fundamentals of cloud security and security complianceInfrastructure as code tools such as Terraform, Ansible, PulumiShell scripting and related tooling (awk, sed, grep etc.)Benefits Salary up to £65,000Hybrid working – 3 days a week in the office38 days holiday (including bank holidays)Travel discountsGenerous pension schemeChildcare servicesIf you are interested in the role, please apply now for immediate review!
