Are you enthusiastic, adaptable, and ready to take on a variety of roles? We are seeking a friendly and motivated part-time seasonal Guest Experience Associate to work 20-30 hours per week during this summer season. In this dynamic role, you'll gain hands-on experience in the daily operations of a small, welcoming beachside hotel. The ideal candidate will arrive with an enthusiastic attitude and be ready to operate the front desk, clean and prepare rooms for arrivals, assist with laundry, and bartend at our summer beach bar. Training and bartender certification will be provided if needed.
This position is ideal for students interested in hospitality or individuals looking to build real-world experience. It offers variety and the opportunity to work on your feet. Responsibilities
1. Attendance and Punctuality: Regular attendance and reporting to work on time, ready to begin your shift, are essential.
2. Guest Check-in: Welcome and check-in guests efficiently, demonstrating excellent customer service and phone etiquette.
3. Food Service: Prepare breakfast timely and accurately, maintaining cleanliness and organization in the kitchen and prep areas.
4. Room Knowledge: Maintain full knowledge of all room types, features, locations, and rates.
5. Guest Engagement: Check on beach guests, ensuring they have fresh towels, drinks, snacks, and chairs.
6. Emergency Procedures: Be familiar with emergency procedures as documented in hotel manuals and act as a first point of contact during emergencies.
7. Account Handling: Handle in-house accounts accurately, including guest charges and requests.
8. Guest Services: Assist with mail, messages, calls, faxes, wake-up calls, and after-hours requests.
9. Room Cleaning: Complete assigned rooms, including departures and refreshes, within set time standards.
10. Upselling: Suggestively sell food and beverages to enhance guest experience and increase sales.
11. Order Management: Ring in orders accurately on POS systems and ensure proper charges.
12. Guest Satisfaction: Ensure guest needs are met courteously and professionally throughout their stay.
13. Food & Beverage Control: Follow guidelines for liquor control and age verification as per TIPs training.
Qualifications
* 1+ year of hotel industry experience or related job preferred
* High school diploma/GED or equivalent
* Comfortable with food preparation; experience is a plus but not required
* Knowledge of Google Docs and reservation systems preferred
* Enjoy meeting new people and making them feel welcome
* Comfortable handling phone calls and stressful situations
Compensation
$16-$18 hourly
