DAYTIME WORK ONLY
5 DAYS PER WEEK INCLUDING SUNDAYS, 9-5PM. 9-4PM DURING WINTER MONTHS
Due to the location of this position, you must have your own transport
We are looking for an experienced Chef/Cook to join our very busy Cafe,
* Oversee daily kitchen operations, including food preparation and cooking
* Develop and implement menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and customer preferences
* Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene throughout the kitchen
* Collaborate with the front-of-house team to ensure seamless service delivery
* Manage inventory, ordering supplies, and minimising waste
* Train new kitchen staff on cooking techniques, food preparation methods, and safety protocols
* Create a positive work environment that fosters teamwork and collaboration
Requirements
* Proven experience in a similar role within a restaurant or hospitality setting
* Strong culinary skills with an emphasis on food preparation and cooking techniques
* Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
* Excellent leadership skills with a passion for delivering exceptional service
* Ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
* Previous experience in menu planning and development is desirable
