You’ll take end‑to‑end responsibility for HR data, systems and reporting — ensuring information is accurate, trusted and translated into insight that genuinely informs workforce decisions.
Working closely with HR colleagues and wider stakeholders, you’ll help embed a more consistent, data‑led approach to planning, prioritisation and measuring impact across the people function.
This is a hands‑on role with real scope: shaping data standards, improving system capability, and enabling leaders to make better decisions through clear, meaningful insight.
What you’ll be responsible for
* Owning HR data governance, ensuring accuracy, consistency and integrity across people systems
* Supporting the configuration, maintenance and continuous improvement of the HRIS, including employee and manager self‑service functionality
* Designing, building and maintaining Power BI dashboards that track workforce trends and outcomes, integrating HR data with other systems (e.g. recruitment, finance, engagement platforms)
* Delivering regular workforce reporting (headcount, attrition, diversity, absence) alongside timely ad‑hoc analysis
* Partnering with HR colleagues, analytics teams and business stakeholders to define reporting needs and deliver practical, usable solutions
* Promoting effective use of people data by supporting and upskilling HR colleagues in dashboards and reporting tools
* Identifying and resolving data quality issues, working with system owners to improve data capture and underlying processes
* Ensuring all employee data is handled in line with GDPR and internal data protection requirements
* Automating HR reporting and data processes to reduce manual effort and improve efficiency
* Exploring and supporting the use of AI and automation to enhance HR operations, reporting and analytics capability
* Keeping up to date with best practice and emerging trends in HR analytics, automation and HR systems
What we’re looking for
Essential experience and skills
* Substantial, hands‑on experience working with HRIS platforms, HR reporting and people analytics
* Strong practical experience designing and maintaining Power BI dashboards
* Excellent analytical capability, with the ability to interpret complex data and turn it into clear, meaningful insight
* Experience identifying trends, patterns and data quality issues to support evidence‑based decision‑making
* Confident communicator, able to explain technical or analytical concepts to non‑technical audiences
* Sound understanding of GDPR and data protection principles
* Strong Excel capability and general Microsoft Office proficiency
* Experience using DAX, Power Query and data modelling techniques
* Experience extracting, transforming and combining data from multiple systems
* Experience supporting HR or workforce‑related projects
How you’ll work
* Hands‑on and comfortable balancing multiple priorities
* Analytical, structured and solutions‑focused
* Collaborative, with the confidence to take ownership and work independently
* Able to build effective working relationships across functions and seniority levels
* Highly organised, with strong attention to detail
* Pragmatic, discreet and trusted when handling sensitive data
Why this role matters
This role sits at the intersection of people strategy, data quality and decision‑making. It offers genuine ownership, visibility and the opportunity to influence how workforce decisions are made — not just how they’re reported.
For the right person, it’s a chance to shape capability, not simply maintain it.
