About the Role: As a Teaching Assistant (TA), you will support students across Key Stages 3 and 4, helping them engage with the curriculum and develop essential skills for success. You will work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral teams to provide tailored support that meets students' individual needs—whether in-class, through small group work, or on a one-to-one basis. Key Responsibilities of a Teaching Assistant: Support students in the classroom to ensure full engagement in lessons Provide one-to-one or small group interventions based on academic or personal development needs Assist with differentiated lesson delivery and access arrangements Encourage positive behaviour and help create a safe, inclusive learning environment Collaborate with teaching and pastoral staff to implement support strategies Help prepare classroom resources and maintain an organised learning space Monitor student progress and provide regular feedback to teaching staff Uphold high expectations and promote the school’s core values Participate in school events, meetings, and training where required Follow safeguarding and behaviour policies diligently at all times TA Requirements: Experience working with children or young people, preferably in an educational setting as a Teaching Assistant or similar CACHE Level 2/3 or NVQ Level 2/3 in Teaching Assistant or Childcare is desirable but not essential A degree in Education, Psychology or a similar field.
