Role
Focus:
Technical oversight, delivery enablement, architectural alignment
Primary Responsibilities
Technical Oversight:
* Acts as a technical escalation point across multiple squads
* Guides teams through complex engineering decisions and trade-offs
* Ensures technical consistency and quality across deliverables
Architecture & Design
* Collaborates with Solution Architects to translate architecture into actionable technical designs
* Approves, Reviews and validates designs across teams
* Ensures alignment with platform strategy and scalability goals
Delivery Leadership
* Supports agile delivery through technical planning and work decomposition
* Identifies and resolves technical bottlenecks and blockers
* Manages shared engineering resources and cross-team dependencies
Team Support
* Provides informal coaching and mentoring to senior engineers
* Encourages technical ownership and accountability
* Supports onboarding and integration of new engineers
Ideal Profile
* Senior engineer or architect background with delivery leadership experience
* Strong understanding of agile engineering practices and tooling
* Able to operate across multiple tech stacks and domains
* Comfortable influencing technical direction without direct line management
Data And Reporting Technical Skills
* Google Cloud (specifically native data services, BigQuery, Cloud Composer, Dataflow, Data Fusion, GCS, IAM)
* IaC (Terraform)
* SQL/SQL Server/SSIS
* High level understanding of Data Modelling concepts (Kimball modelling/star schema)
* High level understanding of Data Engineering concepts
