Role: Automation & Robotics Engineer

My client, a global healthcare company, is seeking an Experienced Automation & Robotics Engineer to support the transformation of autologous CAR‑T cell therapy manufacturing. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to cutting‑edge healthcare innovation while collaborating with international teams.
Responsibilities
* Design, configure, and deploy automated systems and robotic modules for CAR‑T manufacturing workflows
* Lead equipment ownership, troubleshooting, and root‑cause analysis across mechanical, software, vision, and control systems
* Support audits, compliance activities, and regulatory inspections, authoring SOPs and operational documentation
* Optimize multi‑step production flows using control systems, dynamic scheduling, and batch orchestration
* Collaborate with QA, IT, OT, facilities, and vendors to align automation efforts across teams
* Deliver operator training sessions, workshops, and competency assessments
* Contribute to technology roadmap initiatives and lead automation subprojects
Required Skills
* Bachelor’s/Master’s in Mechanical, Automation, or Robotics Engineering
* 3–8 years’ experience with robotics platforms, automated systems, and control systems
* Strong grounding in engineering and computer science principles for robotic design
* Excellent communication skills, able to engage operators, senior management, and external partners
* Experience managing outsourced technical projects, including vendor selection and execution of validation protocols (URS, FAT, SAT)
* Ability to author SOPs, technical documentation, and training materials
Nice to Have
* Experience integrating robot + vision + PLC
* Strong FAT/SAT leadership and validation ownership
* Custom end‑of‑arm tooling design and deployment
* GMP or ISO 13485 compliance experience
* Vendor/OEM management expertise
* Ability to write structured text, Python, or C++
* Background in cell therapy or biologics manufacturing
