Teaching Assistant 1:1 Support

Reed Education are seeking a patient and committed Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a pupil in a primary school in Plymouth.
This role is available to start immediately and will run until the end of the current term. It offers a rewarding opportunity to support a pupil who requires a tailored and consistent approach to learning.
The Role:
* Providing dedicated 1:1 support throughout the school day
* Supporting learning for KS2 pupil currently learning at a Year 1 to Year 2 level through adapted activities
* Managing focus, engagement and behaviour through a calm and structured approach
* Supporting the pupil with routine, organisation and transitions
* Encouraging positive participation in classroom activities
* Working closely with the class teacher to ensure consistent support
The Ideal Candidate Will:
* Have experience supporting children who require additional guidance with focus and behaviour
* Be patient, resilient and able to remain calm under pressure
* Be confident adapting learning to suit different ability levels
* Have a good understanding of strategies to support attention, engagement and structure
* Be able to build a strong and trusting relationship
* Hold an enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to obtain one
