Overview
Band 3 Radiology Assistant, full time (37.5 hours) or part time considered. The Radiology Assistant supports Radiologists, Radiographers, and Sonographers, providing services 24/7 over 365 days. Applicants should be flexible, with excellent organisational and prioritising skills, and willing to discuss new ways of working to improve efficiency. The role requires working flexible hours according to the service needs (shift rota), including evenings, weekends, bank holidays, and rotation to community and diagnostic hub sites.
This position involves duties across patient care, portering, image handling, clerical work and general computer/data input tasks. It offers the opportunity to work directly with patients and support the radiology team in providing high quality diagnostic imaging.
This role is based in the Directorate of Radiology within NCIC and contributes to delivering safe, effective diagnostic imaging to people in Cumbria, while supporting dynamic changes in patient care.
