Are you an experienced andpassionate SEN teacher looking for a rewarding opportunity in a specialist setting? Hays Education is working in partnership with a well-established special school in Preston to recruit a dedicated SEN Teacher to join their team from October half term.
Your new roleYou will be teaching pupils aged 11–19 with a range ofplex needs, including moderate to severe learning difficulties (MLD/SLD), autism spectrum conditions (ASC), and associatedmunication and sensory needs. The school provides a highly structured and nurturing environment, with a strong emphasis on personalised learning, life skills, and holistic development.You will be responsible for planning and delivering differentiated lessons that meet the individual needs of your students, working closely with a skilled team of teaching assistants, therapists, and pastoral staff.
What you'll need to succeed
1. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS or QTLS)
2. Experience working with children or young people with SEND, particularly ASC, MLD or SLD
3. A creative and flexible approach to teaching
4. Strongmunication and teamwork skills
5. Amitment to inclusive education and pupil wellbeing
