Logistics Operative – £26,882 + Excellent Benefits
Location: Denham
An engineering manufacturer in Denham is looking for a Logistics Operative to join their Stores Department. This role involves preparing, packing and labelling products and components for internal movement and external dispatch, while supporting a range of duties across Stores, Raw Materials and Internal Transport.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out primary and final packing of components and products to specified standards and customer requirements.
Check batch numbers, part descriptions and quantities against the ERP system (SAP) and highlight any discrepancies.
Ensure goods are packaged using the correct materials and clearly labelled for identification and delivery.
Verify delivery details and ensure shipments are prepared accurately and on time.
Work closely with logistics and shipping teams to ensure goods are ready for dispatch.
Conduct self-inspection and quality checks on completed work.
Train across multiple areas including Detail Stores, Raw Material Stores and Internal Transport.
Pick, pack and issue materials and stock accurately.
Receive goods from production and external suppliers into Stores.
Move goods across the facility using equipment such as forklift trucks, electric pallet stackers and scissor lift equipment.
Support operations within Raw Material Stores including basic saw operation.
What You’ll Need
Previous experience in a stores, logistics or packing role within a manufacturing or warehouse setting.
Ability to work to deadlines and manage multiple tasks.
Basic IT skills, including use of Word and Excel.
A methodical approach, with strong teamwork and communication skills.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
A positive attitude and willingness to learn new processes.
