Your new roleWe are looking for a reliable and hardworking Sport & Cleaning Operative to join our team in Southend. This is a varied, hands-on role supporting the day-to-day upkeep, cleanliness, and safe operation of local sports grounds and public areas.Key Responsibilities:
* Carrying out light grounds maintenance duties
* Litter picking across sports pitches and surrounding public areas
* Cleaning of public facilities, including walkways, seating areas, and amenities
* Ensuring sites remain safe, tidy, and welcoming for visitors
* Reporting any maintenance issues or hazards promptly.
What you'll need to succeed
* Full UK driving licence (essential)
* Ability to work weekends and flexible hours
* Practical, hands-on approach with good attention to detail
* Reliable, punctual, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
* Previous experience in ground maintenance or cleaning (desirable but not essential)
