We are working with a highly successful and growing international product-led business seeking a Quality Technician to join their busy Product Hub in Sittingbourne. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a collaborative team where quality, continuous improvement and customer experience sit at the heart of everything they do.
The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting product quality across a diverse range of consumer goods, working closely with suppliers, internal teams and international partners to identify trends, resolve issues and drive improvements throughout the supply chain.
The Role
Reporting into the Quality team, responsibilities will include:
1. Reviewing inspection and quality data to identify trends, concerns and opportunities for improvement
2. Coordinating product inspections with overseas suppliers and ensuring key deadlines are met
3. Investigating quality issues and supporting effective corrective actions to prevent repeat occurrences
4. Producing clear and detailed reports for suppliers and internal stakeholders
5. Supporting product approvals and shipment releases from a quality perspective
6. Working closely with Product Development and Buying teams on new product introductions
7. Liaising with international colleagues and manufacturing partners to resolve quality-related queries
8. Assisting with product rework activities where required
9. Maintaining accurate records and updating internal systems
10. Supporting ongoing quality improvement projects across the wider business
About You
We would love to hear from candidates who have:
11. Previous experience within a Quality, QC, Compliance or Product Quality role
12. Experience working within a fast-paced manufacturing, retail, FMCG or product-led environment
13. Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to problem solving
14. Strong written communication skills with the ability to produce clear reports and documentation
15. Confidence communicating with suppliers and colleagues at all levels
16. Good IT skills and experience working with internal systems and databases
17. The ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a busy environment
