We are currently working with a Tier 1 contractor seeking experienced Design managers to join their growing construction team delivering high-profile MOD and MOJ projects across the Northwest
This is an excellent opportunity for a strong Design Manager with experience in complex, secure, and technically demanding projects to play a key role from pre-construction through to project delivery.
Key responsibilities
* Managing and coordinating the design process from tender through to completion
* liaising with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and project teams
* Reviewing and managing design programmes and technical information
* Ensuring compliance with MOD/MOJ standards, regulations, and security requirements
* Identifying and resolving design issues proactively
* Supporting project delivery teams to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget
* Chairing design meetings and maintaining clear communication across all stakeholders
Requirements
* Proven experience as a Design Manager within the construction industry
* Experience working on MOD/MOJ, Healthcare, Education, or other regulated projects preferred
* Strong technical and construction knowledge
* Ability to manage multiple work streams in a fast-paced environments
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
