Role Overview
As a Financial Reporting Advisory - Assistant Manager, you will:
* Deliver projects focusing on technical accounting applications, such as GAAP conversions, financial statement preparation, M&A activity, standards implementation, group restructuring, and training, often within cross-functional teams.
* Manage projects independently or with team members to ensure on-time delivery.
* Control project timelines, budgets, and risk management.
* Achieve deadlines while understanding the commercial implications related to productivity, margin, fee income, and client service.
* Lead smaller assignments, overseeing planning, completion, and review.
* Identify opportunities and prepare scope and quotes for small projects.
Candidate Requirements
The minimum criteria include a professional qualification (ACA, ICAS, CA, ACCA, or CIPFA) with post-qualification experience and confidence managing a large portfolio of audit clients. Skills that are desirable include:
* Technical accounting knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP; US GAAP and Companies Act experience are a plus.
* Experience in client relationship management.
* Team leadership and project management skills.
* Mentoring and coaching junior colleagues.
