1. Engage in the creation and collaboration within dynamic two and three-dimensional spaces, bringing a unique and imaginative touch to each project.
2. Conceptualize, benchmark, and establish the distinctive visual identity of spaces, contributing to the overall ambiance and atmosphere.
3. Foster continuous communication with design leadership throughout project lifecycles, ensuring seamless coordination from design inception to fabrication and final installation.
4. Contribute to the creation of compelling project design presentations, graphics, and documents, supporting effective communication with clients.
5. Maintain a comprehensive design approach by facilitating coordination among internal teams, external vendors, consultants, and freelancers, providing clear and timely guidance.
6. Offer constructive feedback and collaborate with project design directors to ensure the delivery of outstanding creative output and flawless execution.
7. Research, define, and develop materials and methods for design work, ensuring seamless collaboration with production designers to translate design intent into fabrication reality.
8. Articulate and convey designs to various organizational levels both within and outside the company, demonstrating proficiency in written and oral communication and a willingness to give and receive constructive feedback.
9. Demonstrate a well-developed understanding and application of design strategy, incorporating color, form, hierarchy, typography, imagery, materiality, and various design methods.
10. Create and apply graphic systems to a variety of entertainment project types, exhibit, sports, brand, and experience design projects with an eye for detail and accuracy.
11. Possess familiarity with the architectural process, including the ability to interpret construction documents, elevations, plans, and shop drawings.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
12. Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, visual communications or equivalent experience required.
13. A minimum of 8 years of experience as senior project designer in a professional studio organization or design company.
14. Must have proven exhibit design, entertainment, branding, and environmental graphic design experience.
15. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and Microsoft Office (Word, and Excel), Microsoft Teams. Keynote software and CADtools for Illustrator experience is a major plus.
16. Experience in three-dimensional design and environmental graphic design, exhibit design, theme park design, wayfinding, branding, entertainment theming, with knowledge of content management and digital asset management systems.
17. Strong organizational skills required to manage time well, prioritize effectively, and handle multiple deadlines. (i.e., organizing, planning, problem-solving, and decision-making) necessary for effective design and project management.
18. Experience in collaborating across geographical and organizational boundaries is a valuable asset.
19. Strong understanding of entertainment and exhibit construction and materials graphics production and fabrication techniques for both interior and exterior applications.
20. Candidate and portfolio and will be assessed on creative excellence, storytelling, problem-solving and technical mastery.
