We are looking for a highly experienced Arable Operator. You could either be an experienced Forage Harvester Driver or willing to learn — we will provide all the necessary training! You will need to be comfortable coordinating and running the forage harvesting operations for the summer whole crop and maize harvest.
Requirements
1. Experienced arable operator with either experience or willingness to be trained to operate a forage harvester (CLAAS Jaguar 970 forage harvester) harvesting summer whole crop and autumn maize for AD feedstock.
2. Familiar with GPS equipment such as Trimble.
3. Experience around cultivations and general farm work.
4. Capable of managing the in-field operation of a forage team and coordinating tractors, trailers, and HGVs.
5. Pro-active approach to promoting health and safety in the workplace.
6. Must be proactive in continuous professional development.
7. A good level of workshop and maintenance knowledge is preferred, as you will be responsible for ensuring machinery is kept to a high standard of cleanliness and condition.
