An exciting opportunity for a rehabilitation assistant with previous NHS experience, and an interest in neurological rehabilitation, has arisen in the Vocational Rehabilitation service (Working Out) based at Brookside Clinic, Aylesbury.
This role supports a specialist team in helping people return to work or find new employment following acquired brain injury. You will get to work with a highly experienced team of professionals in assessing and delivering rehabilitation for this patient population. This will include clinic and community based work, and working with others and alone.

Main duties of the job
·To assist registered therapists in the assessment, planning, delivery and evaluation of neurological and vocational rehabilitation programmes in the Vocational Rehabilitation Service (Working Out).
·Implement rehabilitation programmes for designated patients, providing education and information to clients and families as appropriate to the role, and guided by the qualified therapists.
·Provide feedback to relevant clinicians on the progress of clients and contribute to the setting of rehabilitation goals and client timetables.
·Work with out-patients at Brookside Clinic and provide support to clients in their own homes and other community settings.
·To assume responsibility for a delegated caseload of clients.
·Undertake appropriate administrative duties, and ensure the necessary resources are available and functioning for the therapy team.
·Maintain the therapy environment, adhering to Trust and local policies for Health and Safety and Infection Control

Qualifications
Essential criteria
1. Good general education
2. Relevant NVQ,QCF or RQF qualification
3. Current driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes.
Experience

4. Expertise in relevant work, e.g. work experience within rehabilitation / therapy / personal trainer context.
5. Healthcare experience.
6. Experience of working with people.
