Job Title: SENDCO Assistant - Part-Time (2/3 Days per Week) Location: Birmingham, B19 Contract Type: Part-Time (Flexible Days) Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience Start Date: ASAP Monarch Education is currently recruiting for a proactive and experienced SENCO Assistant to join a supportive primary school in the B19 area of Birmingham. This part-time role is ideal for someone with a strong understanding of SEND provision and school-based support systems, available to work two flexible days per week. Key Responsibilities: Support the SENCO with administrative tasks, pupil tracking, and coordination of SEND provision. Assist with the development and review of EHCPs, IEPs, and intervention plans. Liaise with staff, parents/carers, and external agencies to ensure effective communication and support for pupils with SEND. Maintain accurate records and contribute to SEND audits and reports. Provide in-class support and interventions where needed. Requirements: Previous experience in a SENCO support role or similar SEND-focused position. Strong understanding of SEND processes, documentation, and inclusive practices. Excellent organisational and communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a school team. A flexible and positive approach to supporting children and staff.
