MLD Teacher role at Targeted Provision. Core subject (Maths, English, or Science) SEN / SEND Tutors for Young People with SEND, SEMH, and other Additional Educational Needs in Berkshire.
Multiple positions are available and hiring is ongoing to meet the wide variety of needs we support. We are on a mission to transform the quality of education for young people with SEN / SEND and other needs, such as SEMH. We work with children and young people with MLD and SLD, and support is provided by a team of SEN / SEND Support Specialists.
This role is ideal for qualified SEN / SEND teachers who want to work via 1:1 tutoring with children and young people with diverse learning needs in a creative, flexible, holistic, and trauma-informed manner to raise engagement and improve educational outcomes.

The SEN / SEND Tutor role
* Provide Maths, English, or Science tuition to young people with SEND, SEMH, MLD/SLD, or other Additional Educational Needs referred to Targeted Provision
* Referals come from local authorities and schools; some level of support in educational and social-emotional journeys is required
* Deliver flexible, holistic, trauma-informed tutoring and mentoring
SEN / SEND Tutor tasks and responsibilities
* Plan each tutoring/mentoring session
* Deliver engaging sessions meeting individual needs to progress educational and social-emotional development
* Complete lesson reports and provide feedback on progress
SEN / SEND Tutor requirements
* Professional Teaching Qualifications (QTS / QTLS)
* Minimum 2 years teaching experience
* Experience with SEND, SEMH, MLD/SLD, and other Additional Educational Needs
* Safeguarding knowledge and DBS (enhanced) – we can assist with DBS at cost
* Two professional references
* UK residency and right to work (including for remote/online work)

SEN / SEND Tutor Employment Status
* Engagement as a Worker for short-term assignments; contract-for-service and PAYE payment
* No guaranteed hours or expenses coverage
* Insurance covers work you do for us
* This is not a self-employed tutoring/teaching position
