Job Summary
An Estate Agent is responsible for facilitating the buying, selling, and renting of residential or commercial properties. The role involves advising clients, marketing properties, conducting viewings, negotiating offers, and ensuring smooth transactions from listing to completion.
Key Responsibilities
Register new applicants and understand their property requirements
Conduct property viewings with prospective buyers or tenants
Generate and win property valuations and instructions
Market properties through online platforms, social media, and local advertising
Negotiate offers between buyers, sellers, landlords, and tenants
Provide regular feedback and updates to clients
Progress sales and lettings through to completion
Maintain accurate records using CRM systems
Stay up to date with property market trends and legislationSkills and Qualifications
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent negotiation and sales ability
Customer-focused with a professional approach
Good organisational and time management skills
Ability to work under pressure and meet targets
IT proficiency (CRM systems, email, property portals)
Full UK driving licence (often required)
Previous experience in sales or property (preferred but not always essential)Working Conditions
