We are seeking a Senior Lawyer for our client to provide short‑term legal and procedural support within a regulatory committees and tribunals environment. This role requires someone confident advising panels, ensuring legally robust decision making, and operating with complete neutrality.
Key Responsibilities
Provide independent, neutral legal advice to disciplinary and regulatory committees.
Ensure all meetings and decisions follow the correct regulatory and procedural frameworks.
Review draft decisions and identify legal or procedural risks.
Support quality‑control checks on cases before they reach committees.
Communicate complex legal issues clearly to non‑lawyers.Essential Experience
Qualified lawyer with experience in a regulatory, committee, tribunal, or public‑law environment.
Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks and governance processes.
Proven ability to act impartially and advise committees on legal process.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ideal Backgrounds
Professional regulators (ACCA, CIMA, HCPC, NMC)
