Senior Structural Engineer
Location: Takeley, Essex
Salary: Up to £70,000 per annum + 25 days holiday + Company Car
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Senior Structural Engineer to take the lead on a variety of projects. Prime Appointments are currently working with a structural engineering consultancy based in Takeley, Essex, known for delivering practical, innovative, and cost-effective engineering solutions across both domestic and commercial sectors. With a growing pipeline of exciting projects and a strong reputation for quality, we're expanding our team.
This is a key role involving both technical leadership and client engagement, covering residential refurbishments, extensions, new builds, and commercial developments.
Responsibilities
Lead structural design work across steel, concrete, timber, and masonry
Manage projects from concept through to completion
Conduct structural assessments, surveys, and prepare reports
Liaise with clients, architects, contractors, and local authorities
Supervise and mentor junior engineers and technicians
Ensure compliance with relevant codes and building regulations
Prepare detailed design calculations, drawings, and specifications using software such as Tekla, Tedds, AutoCAD, and RevitRequirements
Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (BEng or MEng)
Chartered or working towards chartership (IStructE or ICE)
Proven experience in both domestic and commercial projects
Strong proficiency in design software
Excellent communication and project management skills
Full UK driving licence and access to a carWhat We Offer
