This is a full-time, office-based role, ideal for someone with strong foundational accounting knowledge and a desire to grow their career within a fast-paced environment.Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will support the preparation of accurate and timely financial information and play a key role in managing queries from the Purchase Ledger team. This position offers excellent development opportunities and full study support towards a recognised professional qualification.Key Responsibilities:Assisting in the preparation of monthly management accounts, including accruals, prepayments, and journalsSupporting the budgeting and forecasting processesConducting detailed variance analysis and providing commentaryReconciling balance sheet accounts and resolving discrepancies in a timely mannerHandling day-to-day queries from the Purchase Ledger team with professionalism and efficiencyContributing to improvements in processes and financial controlsAssisting with audit preparation and responding to auditor queriesCarrying out ad hoc financial analysis and reporting as requiredPerson Specification:Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards (essential)AAT qualified or actively studying towards ACCA/CIMA (study support provided)Experience in a similar finance role, ideally in a fast-paced environmentExcellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracyStrong interpersonal and communication skillsAble to work effectively both independently and as part of a teamProficient in Excel and accounting systems Adaptable, proactive, and able to manage changing prioritiesWhat We Offer:Competitive salary between £32,000 and £37,000, depending on experienceFull study support towards a professional qualification (ACCA/CIMA)Exposure to a broad range of financial tasks and responsibilitiesA supportive team environment and opportunities for progression
