Overview
We are recruiting for an experienced CAM Engineer to join a well-established engineering team in Nuneaton. This role focuses on converting engineering drawings and CAD models into accurate and efficient CNC programs, supporting safe and high-quality machining operations.
Key Responsibilities
* Create, optimise and maintain CNC toolpaths in line with best practice and company standards
* Liaise with the Engineering Manager to understand job scope, tolerances and machining requirements
* Ensure correct tooling, holders and machine selection prior to programming
* Collaborate with machinists to resolve machining issues and support production
* Maintain accurate programming documentation and revision control
* Support continuous improvement and knowledge sharing within the team
Key Skills and Experience
* Strong understanding of CNC machining principles and CAM programming
* Experience using WorkNC, PowerMill and PowerShape (or similar)
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and CAD models
* High attention to detail with a methodical approach to work
* Good communication skills and a team-focused attitude
