The Role As a Geologist, you will play a key role in the planning, supervision and delivery of ground investigation projects. You will work closely with engineers, drilling contractors and project managers to collect and interpret geological data that informs engineering design and risk assessments. The role will involve a combination of site-based investigation work and office-based reporting, giving you exposure to a wide range of projects across the UK. Key Responsibilities Supervising and coordinating ground investigation works on site Logging soils and rocks in accordance with BS5930 and current industry standards Overseeing drilling operations, sampling and in-situ testing Collecting, managing and interpreting geological and geotechnical data Preparing site documentation including risk assessments and method statements Liaising with clients, contractors and internal engineering teams Contributing to the preparation of factual and interpretative reports Ensuring all works are carried out safely and in line with health and safety procedures Requirements Degree in Geology, Engineering Geology, Geotechnical Engineering or similar Previous experience working on ground investigations or geotechnical projects Knowledge of UK ground investigation standards and practices Strong organisational and communication skills Ability to work both independently and within project teams Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to project sites Minimum experience of 2-3 years on UK projects Benefits Competitive salary Vehicle Fuel card £5K Project Allowance 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays Pension scheme Access to training, mentoring and professional development Opportunities for career progression within a growing consultancy Employee wellbeing initiatives and company discounts Diversity & Inclusion The company is committed to building an inclusive workplace where diversity is valued and employees from all backgrounds are encouraged to contribute, develop and succeed.
