Our Self Invested Pensions business continues to grow and we are now looking for a SSAS & SIPP Senior Technician to join our vibrant Stirling office. This is an exciting role and would most likely suit someone with previous experience in a similar role where they have gained knowledge and experience of administration and dealing with technical issues on SSAS & SIPP contracts.

We undertake pensions administration for over one million members and provide advisory services to schemes and corporate sponsors in respect of schemes of all sizes, including 88 with assets over £1bn. We also provide wider ranging support to insurancepanies in the life and bulk annuities sector.

The Role

As a SSAS & SIPP Senior Technician with XPS you will be:

1. Provide technical support to the SIP business that enables the business to provide prompt, efficient and accurate customer service to the SIP clients and helps drive the business forward.
2. Assist in the management andpliance of all technical issues relevant to the business line.
3. Monitor, interpret and analyse the impact of legislative and other regulatory changes as they affect SIP for the purpose of identifying practical changes to procedures and training notes to ensure continued technical and FCApliance of the business line.
4. Proactively identify and take forward the development of technical improvements within the business line to mitigate risk and improve business line efficiency.
5. Proactively coach and develop staff and identify training needs within the business
6. Deliver technical training to the highest standard, proactively contribute to the development of training material.
7. Continuously maintain and promote the SIP procedures and training notes in a technicallyplete and FCApliant formmunicating any changes in plain English.
8. Take ownership of problems / issues and escalate relevant issues to relevant internal departments.
9. Proactively provide constructive feedback to Team Managers in relation to staff to help reward and identify areas of improvement.
10. Maintain the Business Line Technical Task list and the Regular Task list.
11. Help resolveplaints cases as directed by the Management Team.
12. Undertake Monthly Risk Audit and department checking (performance measures).
13. Be main contact point or relationship manager with externalpanies, attending client meetings where required.

Your profile

Essential Criteria

14. Detailed experience of administration and dealing with technical issues on SSAS & SIPP contracts
15. Experience of analysing the impact of legislative and regulatory changes on administration processes
16. Experience of developing and documenting standard procedures / training notes
17. Ability to work under pressure and under own initiative
18. Ability to enjoy juggling numerous andplex priorities daily, balancing 'important' with 'urgent'
19. puter literate in the use of office systems, Microsoft Office, spreadsheets, database.

Desirable Criteria
20. FPC or ACII or equivalent
21. Project management experience
22. Client relationship/management experience
