About the Role:
We are looking for a passionate and driven Ophthalmic Account Manager (OAM) to join our client's UK team a leading name in medical optics and diagnostic/surgical solutions. In this field-based role, you'll be accountable for managing and growing sales of the Zeiss diagnostic and surgical product portfolio across hospitals, clinics, and theatres in your region.
You will play a critical role in demonstrating cutting-edge equipment, building strong customer relationships, and driving market penetration, all while ensuring seamless implementation and after-sales support.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Promote and sell ophthalmic diagnostic and surgical products across your territory
2. Demonstrate high-tech medical equipment to clinical, procurement, and biomedical teams
3. Develop and execute account plans in collaboration with Clinical Application Specialists (CAS)
4. Deliver training and implementation support to ensure successful adoption
5. Identify and develop new business opportunities, managing the full sales cycle
6. Attend and support marketing events, conferences, and exhibitions
7. Maintain accurate records and forecasting via CRM systems
8. Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent service and communication
What We're Looking For:
Essential:
9. Sales experience in medical devices or healthcare
10. Strong technical understanding and ability to communicate complex solutions clearly
11. Customer-first approach with excellent communication and problem-solving skills
12. Resilience, adaptability, and a goal-driven mindset
13. Team-player with a high level of professionalism and integrity
Desirable:
14. Background or experience in ophthalmology
15. Previous NHS sales experience
16. Experience in capital equipment and workflow solutions
17. Relevant degree (business, life sciences, healthcare)
18. Additional certifications in medical sales or ophthalmology
