Role Overview
As an Assistant Store Manager at Vision Express, you’ll support the Store Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the store. This includes managing the team, ensuring excellent customer service, achieving sales targets, and maintaining high standards of visual merchandising and store presentation. You’ll assist with administrative tasks such as stock ordering and management, cash handling and reporting, and play a key role in creating a positive and productive work environment. Hours and Flexibility
Although the hours of this role are advertised, we’re open to discussing flexible options to fit your ideal working week, such as compressed weeks or part‑time arrangements.

Ideal Candidate
* Show strong leadership and management skills to support colleagues in store.
* Excellent communication and rapport‑building, translating professional terminology into customer‑friendly language.
* Exceptional attention to detail in maintaining accurate customer records, prescriptions and requirements.
* Teamwork with colleagues across the entire store team, including Eye Care Professionals, Optical Assistants and Management.
* Ability to work under pressure and handle challenging situations in a fast‑paced retail environment.
* Confidence, passion, drive and enthusiasm.
* Monitor and analyse sales performance data to identify areas for improvement.
* Provide training and coaching to ensure every team member performs at their best and supports our mission to help customers ‘See More and Be More’.
