We have an opportunity at our prestigious Birmingham Mailbox Gallery to join the team as a Gallery Technician. Were looking for a proactive individual, with excellent organisational skills to help maintain our high standards and support the team with gallery operations. Youll be responsible for setting up new artist releases, gallery events, and exhibitions throughout the year and also supporting the gallery team during peak times. This role is full-time, working 5 days out of 7, based in the Birmingham Mailbox gallery. What The Gallery Technician Role Includes:
• Youll manage the stockroom efficiently, ensuring that all artwork is clearly labelled, accessible, and easy to find
• Youll ensure artwork is treated carefully and damage is minimised through correct wrapping and storage
• Youll process all gallery deliveries correctly and in line with stockroom procedures
• Youll support the gallery team with re-hanging as and when required, including printing and displaying price tags and artist biographies for all artwork on show
• Youll assist the gallery team with artwork installations, client viewings, and home consultations
• Youll support the gallery team in the organising and running of artist appearances and other gallery events and exhibitions throughout the year
• Youll provide after-sales follow up with clients and provide feedback on client satisfaction
• As this role also entails physical duties on a daily basis, well need you to be able to handle such tasks whilst working

What We Need From You:
• Youll be extremely well-organised and efficient in dealing with multiple tasks
• Youre confident, highly presentable and with an understanding of exceptional customer service
• As client interaction will also be a regular occurrence, youll have excellent communication skills
• Youll have the ability to effectively communicate in person and by phone
• Youll have a keen attention to detail and a strong work ethic
• Youll be highly motivated to achieve against set targets
• A driving license is essential (for home consultation visits with clients)
