The Opportunity
An established and highly regarded specialist sustainability consultancy is looking to appoint a Graduate Building Physics Engineer to join its growing Bristol team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate with a passion for building performance, low-energy design and sustainability, to receive structured training, mentoring and clear progression within a supportive and technically strong environment.
You will work alongside experienced Building Physics and Sustainability Engineers, gaining exposure to a wide range of projects across residential, commercial and mixed-use developments.
Key Responsibilities
*
Supporting the delivery of thermal modelling and building performance analysis
*
Assisting with energy strategies, overheating assessments and Part L compliance
*
Carrying out dynamic thermal modelling (TM52 / TM59) with support and training
*
Assisting with SAP, SBEM and energy calculations
*
Supporting planning and compliance reports
*
Working closely with senior engineers, architects and design teams
*
Developing an understanding of low-carbon design, passive design principles and regulations
About You
*
Degree qualified (or soon to be) in Building Physics, Engineering, Sustainability, Environmental Design or similar
*
Strong interest in energy efficiency, sustainability and building performance
*
Analytical mindset with good numerical and problem-solving skills
*
Comfortable working with data, models and technical reports
*
Good written and verbal communication skills
*
Enthusiastic, curious and keen to learn
Desirable (Not Essential)
*
Some exposure to IES-VE, DesignBuilder or similar software
*
Basic understanding of Part L, SAP, SBEM or overheating guidance
*
Placement or internship experience within the built environment
