About the Role
As a New Homes Design and Sketch Draftsperson, you will play a key role in producing accurate sales sketches and design variations that align with company construction practices, R-Codes, and NCC requirements. Working closely with the Sales and Design team, you will provide technical support through timely and precise drafting, ensuring project execution meets client and business expectations.
Responsibilities
* Creating sales sketches and concept plans aligned with client briefs
* Interpreting R-Codes, site conditions, and company standards
* Collaborating with sales and design consultants to refine concepts
* Updating and maintaining compliance with NCC and relevant codes
* Meeting departmental KPIs for accuracy, timeliness, and quality
* Providing innovative design solutions to enhance product offerings
* Maintaining a high standard of documentation and detail in all work
Success in this role will be measured by the speed and precision of your drafting work, effective collaboration with internal stakeholders, and your ability to deliver practical, creative solutions that meet both construction and client needs.
About You
You are a detail-oriented and collaborative draftsperson with experience in new home drafting and a strong understanding of residential construction. Your proficiency in ArchiCAD and solid knowledge of the NCC and R-Codes enables you to produce accurate, high-quality plans with confidence. You thrive in a fast-paced environment, enjoy problem-solving, and value continuous improvement.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
* Experience in residential drafting, preferably new homes
* Proficiency in ArchiCAD (essential)
* Strong understanding of R-Codes and NCC compliance requirements
* Sound knowledge of residential construction methods and design standards
* Excellent attention to detail and drafting accuracy
* Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
* Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines
* A proactive mindset with a passion for practical and creative design
