After School Club Supervisor
4 days, 13 hours per week (Mondays – Thursday, 2.45pm – 6.00pm)

JOB OVERVIEW
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a strong candidate to manage the after-school care at Barnett Wood Infant School, which provide a safe and caring environment where children can enjoy a range of play and learning activities. This role is varied, and we are looking for an adaptable, flexible and resourceful individual able to cope in a high-pressure environment and deal with constantly changing priorities.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
•Organisation of a daily routine that meets the emotional, social and intellectual needs of the children.
•Supervising staff in the club ensuring consistent cover and that the correct ratio for the number of pupils attending is provided.
•Developing quality play and activity plans ensuring the engagement of all children specific to their individual needs through a variety of play opportunities.
•Ensuring the safety and well-being of all children that attend.
•Enforcing and implement all club policies and procedures, the implementation of play work principles and the EYFS statutory framework and general childcare requirements.

THE RIGHT CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
•GCSE English and Maths at grade C/4 or above.
•Previous experience or childcare experience.
•A proven ability to work on their own initiative.
•A high level of communication skills and the ability to relate positively to children and adults.
•The ability to use relevant technology/equipment.
•A can-do attitude.
•A commitment to the happiness well-being, self-esteem and progress of everyone at the school.
