Position: Teaching Assistant (SEMH/SEND) Location: Chesterfield Type: Full-Time, long-term becoming permanent for the right candidate Start Date: immediate Salary: 96-104£ /day Transport: you have to drive as the school is not reachable by public transport About Us: Aspire People is working with a dynamic and supportive Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) school that caters to students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. Key Responsibilities: * Support students with SEMH and other special educational needs in their learning and development. * Assist teachers in planning and delivering engaging lessons tailored to individual student needs. * Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with severe autism spectrum disorder (ASD) or mental health disorders. * Help manage classroom behaviour and create a positive, inclusive learning environment. * Support students in developing social skills and coping strategies. * Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other staff to implement individual education plans (IEPs). Requirements: * Experience: Previous experience in a similar setting, such as a SEND school, care home working with severe ASD patients, or working with individuals with mental health disorders.
