We are working on behalf of one of our clients to appoint a Payroll Assistant to join their established Finance Team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience in payroll or payroll administration, looking to take ownership of their work and develop their skills further within a supportive environment.
As the Payroll Assistant, you will provide day-to-day support to ensure payroll runs smoothly, accurately and on time across multiple payroll functions across the UK.
Your key responsibilities:
* Assisting with the preparation and processing of weekly and monthly payrolls
* Inputting and validating payroll data to ensure accurate employee payments.
* Supporting with pensions administration and auto-enrolment compliance.
* Helping with year-end processes including P60s, P11Ds and other statutory submissions.
* Running payroll for subcontractors in line with CIS guidelines.
* General payroll administration and ad hoc support to the wider finance team.
The ideal Candidate will have:
* Previous experience in an in-house payroll function
* Working knowledge of end-to-end payroll processes and CIS guidelines
* Experience using SAGE Payroll
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy
* Experience with paper-based wages beneficial
* A proactive, organised and team-focused approach
