Your responsibilities
* Provide toxicology guidance and expertise in relation to safety risk assessments for consumer products, in accordance with company policies and procedures
* Ensure that assessments at Reckitt are performed applying current scientific knowledge, methods and in compliance with relevant regulations and legislation
* Conducting impact and safety assessments for ingredients and products where appropriate and providing effective and timely communication of key safety issues
* Follow scientific and regulatory development in the field of safety assessment to pro-actively address and implement new knowledge and standards where applicable.
* Preparation and review of safety language labelling as required to ensure Reckitt products are used as intended, particularly in regions applying EU CLP and UN GHS, but also CPSC and CCCR
* Manage statutory reporting requirements and assist in the response to adverse health effects complaints and products incidents
* To actively contribute to the development of policies, guidelines and working instructions related to the safety assessment of Reckitt Hygiene products
* To suggest, investigate and implement changes in the procedures and systems for improved productivity, efficiency and quality of evaluations
The experience we're looking for
* BSc preferred in Toxicology, Pharmacology, Chemistry, Biochemistry and/or related discipline
* Industry experience in the preparation and review of consumer product risk assessments and safety labels
* Demonstrated ability to effectively manage competing priorities to work in a fast paced, cross-functional team environment
* Capable of building strong working relationships to deliver outstanding results with or without hierarchical relationships
* Pro-active, innovative, self-driven and persistent approach to results-oriented delivery
* Commercial awareness of corporate and operational business issues
* Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
* Capability to define, evaluate and take risks
