Secondary Design & Technology Teacher
Milk Education are seeking a skilled, creative, and resilient Design & Technology Teacher to join a forward-thinking department in a Secondary school in Liverpool. The role will involve teaching KS3 and KS4 Design & Technology, delivering both practical and theory-based lessons across relevant specialisms (such as Product Design, Resistant Materials, Graphics, or Engineering). This is a full-time position starting as soon as possible, with the opportunity to become permanent for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver high-quality Design Technology lessons in line with the national curriculum
Plan and deliver engaging practical and theory-based lessons
Ensure a safe and well-managed workshop environment, adhering to health and safety requirements
Inspire creativity, problem-solving, and independent thinking
Assess student progress and adapt teaching strategies to support learning
Work collaboratively with colleagues to support curriculum development and student outcomes
Uphold the values and standards of Milk Education and our partner schools
Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
Specialism in Design & Technology – able to teach KS3 and KS4
Strong classroom and workshop management skills
Sound knowledge of health and safety procedures within a D&T setting
Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff
Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one through Milk Education)
