Job Title: Inventory Controller (6-Month Fixed-Term Contract)
Location: Wakefield (Hybrid working – 2 days per week from home)
Salary: £34,000 – £36,000 per annum
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm
Start Date: ASAP

Overview:
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Inventory Controller to join a leading manufacturing business based in Wakefield. This is a 6-month fixed-term contract offering hybrid working and the opportunity to contribute to a well-established, fast-paced supply chain operation.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and coordinating inventory levels, tracking stock movements, and ensuring accuracy and efficiency in inventory management processes to support business and customer needs.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Conduct all company business in a safe manner, in line with company procedures

*

Prepare EIDR documentation for month-end HMRC submissions

*

Update volume forecasts based on input from the sales team

*

Upload and analyse data to determine required stock levels

*

Raise purchase orders for stock

*

Investigate and resolve warehouse queries relating to stock/batch discrepancies

*

Raise stock transfers between locations

*

Maintain and communicate the out-of-stock log

*

Liaise with suppliers and hauliers regarding orders and coordinate deliveries

*

Communicate and coordinate with other company sites, including Billingham and French locations (Andrézieux & St. Avold)

*

File relevant documentation (EIDR/Certificates of Analysis)

*

Accurately book stock into the D365 system

*

Perform general office administration, including answering phone calls

*

Provide cover for other members of the inventory/logistics team when required

Candidate Requirements:

*

Proven experience in inventory or supply chain management

*

Familiarity with ERP systems (preferably D365)

*

Strong attention to detail and organisational skills

*

Ability to communicate effectively with internal teams and external suppliers

*

Experience working within a manufacturing or warehouse environment is advantageous
