The UK & Ireland is Deliveroo's most mature market globally. Functions include commercial, operations, and marketing, with teams in the UK & I partnering with global departments such as Product, Technology, Consumer, and Restaurants.
The UK & I Regional team drives Deliveroo's performance across all five nations, overseeing restaurants, consumers, and riders in local markets from Brighton to Bangor, Bolton to Belfast.
As part of the UK & I Regional UKI team, you will focus on signing up the best restaurants in your city/region. This presents a significant growth opportunity for Deliveroo, and we aim to build a diverse team of talented, commercially experienced individuals to realize this potential.
The Role
We are seeking a Field Sales Executive to join our Manchester team. This role offers a unique opportunity to directly impact the success of your local city by building relationships with new restaurant partners, enhancing our customer proposition, and leading by example within the team through coaching and guidance. The ideal candidate enjoys rapport-building, results delivery, and working independently. You will report to the City Manager, based in Manchester, with most of your time spent in the field across the city and surrounding areas.
What you'll do:
1. Map, prospect, pitch, and close new partners by actively seeking out and signing restaurants and stores loved by local customers.
2. Engage with partners through in-person visits, emails, calls, and social media to demonstrate Deliveroo's technology and business opportunities.
3. Establish yourself as a food delivery and restaurant industry expert within target cities, building trust and facilitating inbound deal flow.
4. Manage the restaurant onboarding process to ensure it is efficient, quick, and seamless, while supporting continuous improvement.
5. Record all meetings and activities in Salesforce with clear, concise notes.
6. This role requires regular travel within the Manchester area, from Bolton to Blackpool. Candidates must have a valid driver’s license and a car, enjoy autonomy, and prefer a field-based role with most of the week spent outside the office.
Requirements:
* Confident and charismatic individual capable of “selling with style”.
* Proven track record of delivering outstanding commercial results.
* Strong commercial acumen, results, and target orientation.
* Effective relationship-building and communication skills.
* Self-starter, hardworking, well-organized, autonomous, and comfortable working in the field 4-5 days per week.
* Preferably fluent in at least one other language (e.g., Mandarin, Cantonese, Korean, Thai, Arabic, Vietnamese, Malay, Japanese, Hindi, Urdu, Punjabi).
