We're partnering with an eCommerce business that has quietly built one of the most creative in-house teams in the lifestyle and wine space. This is a company where design holds real influence — not just over brand perception, but how customers engage, discover, and buy. With a strong creative culture already in place and an expanding content studio on-site, they’re looking for a Lead Designer who can drive digital campaigns, shape brand expression, and bring a hands-on eye to content, photography, and motion. The team is collaborative, commercially savvy, and open to ideas. The right person won’t just execute beautiful work — they’ll elevate it. Overview As Lead Designer, you’ll play a pivotal role in bringing the brand to life across every digital and content touchpoint. You’ll be the go-to for concepting seasonal campaigns, driving design quality, and leading creative ideation across web, CRM, social, video, and print. Your remit will extend from initial campaign storytelling through to directing internal shoots and supporting content production. This is a hands-on, creatively strategic role — not just a traffic management job. You’ll work closely with marketing and copy teams, mentor a team of junior–midweight designers, and help set the direction for how the brand shows up visually — every day, across every channel. You will be responsible for: Leading design ideation for quarterly customer acquisition campaigns and key commercial moments Directing creative rollout across social (paid and organic), web, email, and print as needed Storyboarding and supporting content shoots — both video and stills — including occasional off-site shoots Working with in-house teams to scale content production and improve processes Collaborating with copywriters and marketing stakeholders to align brand messaging and creative Providing mentorship and art direction to a team of 7 designers This Role is For You If: You’ve got 5 years of experience in digital design and a portfolio that shows strong creative thinking across channels You have hands-on exposure to photography and/or video — whether that’s direction or being behind the camera You thrive on variety: some days you’re at a shoot, some you’re building campaign assets, some you’re sketching out landing pages or email creative You’re a proven leader who empowers and guides a team You think in systems and campaigns, not just individual assets You’re as comfortable collaborating with marketing teams as you are briefing a junior designer or jumping into Figma It’s Not For You If: You’re looking to purely execute briefs without contributing to creative direction You haven’t worked across digital-first environments or high-volume eCommerce businesses You’re not comfortable shifting between strategy, hands-on design, and content production What’s in it for You: Gain broad exposure across cutting-edge digital, content, and campaign projects—from seasonal launches to social-first content pieces. Direct the brand’s visual identity and fundamentally shape its impact across the business. Translate vision into reality by directing in-house shoots, building high-impact performance campaigns, and driving ideas from concept to completion. Thrive in a collaborative marketing and creative team that champions innovative thinking alongside flawless execution. Embark on a Role with Real Impact: If you’re a creative leader ready to own the visual identity of a brand with real traction — and want the space to push design beyond the brief — this is your chance to make a mark.
