Midweight Video Editors at ASOS
Midweight Video Editors at ASOS are highly organised, efficient, future leadership figures, who have an eye for fashion, photography and seamless operations. As one of our Video Editors, you will work closely with the Seniors, Leads, and Management at ASOS Studios. You will support department efficiency, thinking commercially and innovatively to deliver the best e-commerce assets for our 20-something customer. You have the ability to support a team with a creative, strategic, and operational mindset.
The Details
Reporting directly to the Lead Video Editor, you will contribute to the day-to-day running of the Video Team. Responsibilities include:
1. Product page enrichment of 1000+ product videos per day, editing e-commerce videos in line with KPI and quality expectations.
2. Ensuring budget, cost per product, creative quality, and volumetric KPIs are met.
3. Using a bespoke Content Management System to upload videos and complete daily workflows.
4. Delivering video capture for projects, shoots, and campaigns, supporting senior team members and juniors as needed.
5. Editing videos for projects, shoots, and campaigns, maintaining high quality standards.
6. Ensuring all video content is captured and edited to brief, within resource, budget, and deadlines, with quality control.
7. Delivering video assets with appropriate grading to complement images.
8. Supporting KPI and team performance reporting when required.
9. Multitasking effectively, working under pressure, and prioritising workload.
10. Working with Premier Pro and Mac, troubleshooting editing and file management issues.
11. Maintaining high standards for product page videos to enhance customer experience.
12. Conducting quality checks to ensure accuracy and presentation of videos.
13. Acting as an aspirational figure within the team and department.
14. Demonstrating problem-solving skills and adaptability.
15. Communicating effectively and following escalation protocols.
16. Collaborating with the Lead Video Editor and Senior team to develop creative content.
17. Innovating and improving all aspects of video production and editing.
18. Working efficiently with attention to detail.
19. Supporting junior team members' growth and training.
20. Participating in team and departmental meetings.
21. Supporting training and onboarding of new team members.
22. Leading by example to promote ASOS Behaviours.
23. Developing communication and leadership styles in collaboration with the Lead Video Editor.
24. Building strong relationships with the wider studio team.
25. Identifying market trends and ensuring brand awareness.
26. Participating in new workflows, software, and hardware launches.
27. Supporting departmental projects and ad hoc tasks.
28. Championing Diversity, Equity & Inclusion initiatives.
Qualifications
About You
* Proven experience with Premier Pro and Mac.
* Experience in e-commerce video capturing and editing for web and social platforms.
* Understanding of commercial video workflows, including file management, colour grading, and exporting.
* Knowledge of video hardware and software.
* Understanding of lighting techniques for studio and location shoots.
* Knowledge of video grading (beneficial: Da Vinci Resolve).
* Ability to incorporate audio files into editing workflows.
