First Time Sewerage Infrastructure Engineer

Working Hours/shift pattern:Full-time 37 hours. We offer flexible working opportunities, which can be discussed further during the interview process.
Salary: circa £45,000

Role Summary:
In this involved and exciting role, you’ll manage the applications, from inception to completion, that align to the Section 101A Water Industry Act 1991 and lead on providing a new public sewer if environmental or amenity problems exist or are likely to arise from their existing drainage system.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead the assessment and design of First Time Sewerage (S101a) applications, from initial reviews to detailed technical assessments and appeals.
2. Produce high-quality outline sewerage infrastructure designs and technical reports.
3. Input cost and design data into the Copperleaf C55 system to inform financial and business planning decisions.
4. Undertake site surveys to assess pollution risks and engage with customers, Parish Councils, the Environment Agency, and local authorities.
5. Manage the S101a applications and mailbox, handling queries and coordinating data from multiple stakeholders.
6. Maintain accurate project documentation and ensure GDPR compliance across all data management.
7. Oversee projects to ensure delivery within agreed timescales and budgets.
8. Work collaboratively with design, construction, and environmental partners to deliver effective wastewater solutions.
9. Drive high standards of Health & Safety, embedding a zero-accident culture and continuous improvement mindset.
Key Skills & Behaviours:
10. Demonstrable experience in undertaking the design of various pipeline projects within the Wastewater Industry
11. Relevant engineering experience or qualification
12. Experience in producing outline technical sketches in communicating alternatives/solutions.
13. Good written and verbal communication skills
14. Enthusiasm to learn & work alone
15. Strong communication, collaboration and stakeholder management skills.
16. Good report writing skills and ability to undertake analysis and results interpretation.
17. Collaborative; working with a variety of people and teams to achieve business success
