We are looking to recruit a Hearings Coordinator to provide essential secretariat support to Committee members conducting hearings, ensuring the smooth operation of proceedings whilst delivering exceptional customer service.

Salary: £29,112 to £31,732 per annum, depending on skills and experience, plus benefits
Location: Canary Wharf, London (Hybrid working approach)
Hours: 35 hours per week, from 9.00 to 5.00, Monday to Friday. The post holder may be required outside of these hours depending on business need.
Contract: 9-month FTC
The Role
The Hearings Coordinator will be responsible for ensuring that cases are brought for hearing before the Statutory Committees in compliance with our standards of quality, timeliness, and cost. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to meaningful work within a supportive team environment by playing a key role in coordinating all operational aspects of hearing days. The post holder will be expected to part-take in the secretary drafting pilot enabling them to develop their drafting skills as well as their case management skills. The post holder will be required to sit as Secretary at hearings 10-12 days each month (on average) on a variety of different cases both in-person and remotely.
This role is subject to a basic Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check as part of our pre-employment due diligence.
The successful applicant will:
* Be highly organised and have previous experience of providing high standards of customer service to stakeholders whilst working with conflicting priorities and deadlines.
* Provide secretariat support to Committees and have overall responsibility for the general function of the hearing.
* Demonstrate strong case management skills with the ability to manage a challenging caseload, including leading hearing readiness conferences with external stakeholders.
* Possess great attention to detail and make sure all work produced and presented to the Committee is reliable and accurate by quality checking.
* Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact with a wide range of stakeholders within a confidential environment.
* Provide advice to hearing participants on the process of the hearing referring to guidance and legislation where necessary.
* Be proficient in the use of IT equipment including video conferencing.
* Have the opportunity for further professional development by undertaking training to further enhance the Adjudication service.
