The Gas Planner will play a key role in ensuring the efficient delivery of gas servicing, maintenance, and repair programmes within the social housing stock. The role involves scheduling and coordinating appointments for gas engineers, ensuring compliance with statutory servicing requirements, and providing excellent customer service to residents. Accountabilities/Responsibilities Plan, schedule, and allocate gas servicing, repairs, and installation works to engineers in line with priorities and compliance deadlines (e.g., annual LGSR requirements). Monitor engineers’ diaries, optimising routes and workloads to maximise productivity and minimise downtime. Liaise with tenants to arrange convenient appointment times, ensuring excellent resident care and communication. Track and report on progress of gas servicing programmes, ensuring 100% compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. Respond promptly to emergency jobs and reallocate resources when urgent priorities arise. Maintain accurate records of completed, cancelled, and outstanding jobs using housing/repairs management systems. Work closely with the Compliance, Repairs, and Customer Service teams to resolve access issues and escalate non-compliance risks. Provide performance data and reports to managers, highlighting risks to programme delivery. Ensure all planning activity complies with health and safety, regulatory, and company policies. Key Skills & Experience Previous experience in a planning, scheduling, or coordination role (ideally within housing, maintenance, or gas services). Knowledge of social housing repairs. Strong IT skills, with experience using housing management, repairs, or scheduling software. Excellent organisational and time-management skills. Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage with tenants, engineers, and managers effectively. Ability to work under pressure, managing competing priorities and deadlines.
